DESCRIPTION:LAAAMP and Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste are jointly organizing 
 an international virtual professional development workshop for high-school
  teachers.\nThe workshop is designed for teachers of Physics\, Chemistry\,
  Biology\, Mathematics\, and General Science\, and will be conducted entir
 ely in English. Its aim is to strengthen the connection between school sci
 ence curricula and inquiry-based learning by introducing educators to sync
 hrotron research and large-scale scientific infrastructures.\nUsing Elettr
 a as a real-world example\, the program will demonstrate how advanced rese
 arch facilities operate and how fundamental scientific principles taught i
 n classrooms are applied in cutting-edge experiments.\nParticipants will b
 e introduced to:\n\nthe fundamentals of synchrotron science and large-scal
 e research infrastructures\;\nkey machine components and how they enable a
 dvanced experiments\;\nreal research applications in materials science\, h
 ealth\, and technology\;\ninquiry-based teaching approaches connected to m
 odern STEM research\;\nindigenous and global perspectives in science educa
 tion\;\na virtual tour of the Elettra facility\;\ndemonstrations of data c
 ollection and how research data can be translated into classroom activitie
 s.\n\nBy connecting teachers directly with scientists and research environ
 ments\, the workshop aims to provide practical tools\, fresh perspectives\
 , and inspiring examples that help students understand how classroom scien
